Gear - Finding the The Right Tool for the Job

Too many hats and too many choices! As yoga teachers (and other people teaching on line) we are now expected to be audio and video pros, on a profession video shoot there are individuals (or entire departments) whose only job is to do audio or lighting or camera or directing who have spent years perfecting their craft. The choices around gear is tough even for the pros and the tech behind the gear changes so fast these days. Plus, we are trying to do this on a budget!  I can help.

I have worked in still photography, film and profession video equipment sales and rentals. I have a BFA in documentary and fine art still photography and have studied and worked in film making in the San Francisco Bay Area for over a decade. I have had the opportunity to work in equipment rental shops and on sets with so many knowledgeable and talented people over years. I have learned so much from them, one of the most valuable is to ask questions, lots of questions. Also TEST! Testing gear is key, see how something works in real world situations, in your location, with your internet, with your everything.

I will be sharing my tests here, please let me know what you think, if you have any questions or if you would like some individual assistance. I have a facebook group all about this topic please join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/toomanyhats
